⚠️ EFF2025 Date Change Announcement
⚠️ New Dates - October 17-20 2025
Hello wonderful EFF Fam 💚
Firstly, we would like to say a big thank you for all your epic support as always, and especially in the lead up to our special 20th anniversary edition! We have been through a lot over the past 2 decades of this journey. In that time, from the humblest of origins to our current multi-faceted format, through the best peak moments and through the moments of challenge, and even though a global pandemic, near misses with floods and fire, and even venue displacement .. we have not missed a year and we have delivered our beloved festival for you every single year!
This is only possible through your incredible ongoing support, so thank you so very much from the bottom of our hearts.
The decision to shift our dates for our 2025 edition has not been taken lightly, but with full consideration of a number of factors, we believe this to be the best option to deliver the most possible experience for you all.
The main factor underpinning this decision is venue related. As many of our longterm supporters would know, in 2022 it became apparent that Ivory’s Rock our beloved venue of 9 years prior would be unable to host Earth Frequency for our 2023 edition. We have enjoyed the support of Ipswich City Council very much for over a decade while at Ivory's Rock, and we appreciate very much that they offered an alternative venue for 2023 and 2024 and so we have been able continue bringing the community together over those years, and we are very grateful to Willowbank Raceway for hosting us. This year's festival especially was overflowing with positivity and reminded us that the community, the music, the art and love is what it is all about first and foremost.
For 2025, we are very mindful of the significance of the 20th anniversary and we hear all the feedback from the community. There are negotiations and processes underway which will shape the next chapter of the festival and this does revolve around a venue shift. There has been a lot of work going on in the background with our initial target dates of May 2-5th in mind, however at this point, certain milestones have not been reached that provide the absolute confidence of being able to deliver you the experience we want for our 20th anniversary edition (not due to any lack of effort, but these processes are complicated and detailed and in some areas beyond our control!)
So the new dates for our festival edition this year are October 17-20 2025.
By making this decision now, roughly 5 months before the initial target dates, we hope to minimise inconvenience and disruption. We expect good outcomes with this new date choice. Enjoyable spring weather, and the extra time to shape the exact experience we want to give you all.
The planning work continues from this point and we look forward to sharing with you all the exciting announcement in the coming weeks and months.

🙋♀️ Date Change FAQ
Will the festival definitely go ahead on the new dates in October?
Yes! We have one secured venue option as an anchor point however our other option still has some steps to complete and this date change allows more time for the best possible outcomes.
Why can’t you announce the venue / venue options now ?
We understand our supporters want to know the location as soon as possible, however the nature of these negotiation and planning processes are critical and at times carry legal and confidentiality considerations until they are completed. We always want to have maximum transparency with our wonderful community, but we also need to respect the needs of all stakeholders through these processes. We look forward to sharing all the news and the story to you all at the earliest possible time.
Will Earth Frequency stay in October or May moving forward ?
It is too early to comment about this and we expect as usual to announce our 2026 dates very soon before or after our 2025 edition.
I bought a hard copy ticket and it has the May dates on it, what do I do ?
A small number of hard copy tickets have been sold at this point. These tickets will remain valid and can be used to gain entry to the festival in October. However we will also be organising a swap option whereby you can take it back to the seller you purchased from and swap it for a correctly dated ticket. We expect this to be possible in January so drop a line to your hard copy ticket seller towards the end of January if you want to do a swap.
🎟️ Information for ticket holders
Changing the dates of the festival is no small task and we appreciate your understanding and support.
If you have bought a festival ticket and any of the currently available add-ons such as vehicle passes and you wish to attend the festival on the new dates - you're all set, you don't need to do anything. Your tickets and add-ons remain valid for the new dates. New copies of your tickets will be sent which reflect the new dates.
If you have secured a volunteer position and bought your ticket and add-ons, you don't need to do anything. Your tickets and add-ons remain valid for the new dates. New copies of your tickets will be sent which reflect the new dates. Your volunteer position is still valid and you should check in with the volunteer coordinators and/or your department head about your rostered shifts. If you need to discuss anything about the new dates or can no longer attend, please email volunteers@earthfrequency.com.au
If you can't attend the festival due to the change of dates, there's a number of options.
You can sell your ticket publicly or privately to a friend using the Humanitix resale option - click ‘Manage Order’ at the bottom of your confirmation email, and then the Resale option.
You can sell/gift your ticket privately and update the ticket details using the Humanitix Order Update option - click ‘Manage Order’ at the bottom of your confirmation email, and then the Update order option.
You can sell your ticket publicly or privately to a friend using Tixel - https://tixel.com/au/music-tickets/2025/05/02/earth-frequency-festival-2025
Please note - if sharing your ticket resale online in any platform, you should use the verified ticket resales options from Humanitix or Tixel as evidence of a legitimate sale. Ticket sales with no verified selling link are usually seen as unsafe.
The best way you can support Earth Frequency Festival is to hold on to your tickets and attend our next edition, or do a resale using one of the above listed options.
If for any reason these options do not work for you, or you have any other issues or questions, please email us at hello@earthfrequency.com.au and we will assist you.
🥳 Indoor Events in Brisbane on the May 2-5th Long Weekend
Of course, with all the momentum built up to our May festival weekend, it wouldn't be right to not have some sort of events happening! The first weekend of May is a long weekend and we have two special events planned at a couple of our favourite venues which we expect to announce in the next week or two so keep an eye out for that.
